Your Settings page is where you manage your profile, contact info, notification preferences, and account. This guide gives you a quick tour of each. Open it from Settings in the sidebar (or your account menu).
Profile and contact info
The Profile and Contact Info sections hold your name and phone number. Your phone number matters here for one reason in particular: it's what text (SMS) notifications are sent to, so keep it current if you rely on texts.
Managing your account (email and password)
Your login email, password, and security settings live in your account profile, which is handled securely on your behalf. In the Account section, choose Manage Account to open it — that's where you change your email, update your password, or review active sessions. Email changes are made there rather than on the Settings page itself.
Notification preferences
Under Notification Preferences, you control how Guardian Landlord reaches you across three channels — and you decide which events trigger each one:
Email — the most complete channel. You can be emailed on new maintenance requests, status changes, new comments or messages, and Away Mode requests.
Push — instant alerts on your device for the things that matter most — new requests, emergencies, status changes, and new comments. Push works best once you've added Guardian Landlord to your home screen.
Text (SMS) — a text for new requests. SMS requires a verified phone number; see how to enable SMS notifications to turn it on.
To adjust any of these:
Open Settings and go to Notification Preferences.
Toggle the events you want on for each channel — email, push, and text are independent.
Changes save as you make them.
Tenants have notification settings too
If you're a tenant, you manage notifications the same way — so you can choose how you hear about status updates and messages on your requests. Keeping at least one channel on means you won't miss an update about a repair you reported.
